So hungry, So busy

First day, orientation and all, how could I possibly pass on food. Unfortunately, with such a crazy day, there was just no way Cornell would let me eat just yet.

I had the most hectic day of travel: red eye from Phoenix, taxi of death to Manhattan, five hour bus to Cornell, and nearly no time to eat in between. Once I got to my dorm, it wasn't much better. Getting my ID, taking a swim test, and going to meetings took up nearly my entire time. Crazy, but at least it only rained for 10 minutes while my swim test was going on.

After finally putting all my stuff from Bed Bath and Beyond (my half a kitchen that I purchased along with my linens) away, I needed to eat. So where better to start than the hot truck, or Louie's, at 1 in the morning. Hello college life.

Messy desk, shake in a generic cup, and fries.

I would definitely suggest getting one of their shakes. I got their coffee shake as a little pick me up. And while it cannot compare to the fair shakes at the Shake Shack, it was still wonderful and my thighs are already fearful that this might become routine. Also got their Cajun fries; these were a little too overly seasoned for me, but when you haven't eaten almost the entire day, you're not going to be too picky.

So excited for the next four years of food! I think I'll start by picking up some ingredients for an apple tart tomorrow.
